Best Books on Prayer & Fasting

Prayer is the believer's ongoing communion with God through Christ, offered in dependence on the Spirit and resting on God's promises rather than on technique. Fasting is a voluntary, temporary setting aside of food that accompanies earnest prayer, expressing hunger for God and humility before him. Reformed teaching treats both as means of grace, not as ways to manipulate God.
