J. I. Packer (1926–2020) was a British-born Reformed Anglican theologian who taught for many years at Regent College in Vancouver. His Knowing God (1973) introduced millions to the doctrines of grace, and his work Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God remains a beloved reconciliation of Calvinist conviction with passionate evangelistic concern.
