Cornelius Van Til (1895–1987) was a Dutch-born Reformed philosopher and apologist who taught at Westminster Theological Seminary from its founding until 1972. He developed the presuppositional method of Christian apologetics, arguing that the triune God of Scripture is the necessary precondition for all human knowledge and rationality.
